Trying to “find yourself” is like searching for the sunglasses that are perched on top of your head. They were never lost in the first place, and neither are you! Think of yourself in terms of raw materials: body, brain, ears, mouth, eyes, strength, skills, potential. Imagine that you’re an artist, working with those materials to create something entirely new and wonderful—a painting, a sculpture, perhaps a collage. Now see the final product in your mind. What kind of self can you create?

TODAY I’ll take a step toward creating myself.
