A Swedish artist jailed for six months for inciting racial hatred says he is not going to stop creating inflammatory work. Dan Park is currently out on bail, while appealing against his sentence and appeared at the Danish parliament where nine provocative pictures went on display. They were exhibited by the Danish Free Press Society which has accused Sweden of censorship. The only black faces present at this gathering were those depicted by Dan Park in images that have effectively been banned in Sweden. One, that looked rather like a 1950s golly smoking a licorice pipe posed the question, is this a crack N word? Another showed Hitler giving the Nazi salute above a caption that read, Not only N words have dreams. Park insists he was twisting the words of Martin Luther King’s I have a dream speech. He claims he is attacking political correctness and doesn’t deserve to be jailed.
