Annie Clark AKA @st_vincent chats to our reporter @GeorgieRogers about coming second in the @BBC6Music Albums of the Year countdown

Over the past three weeks BBC 6 Music has been counting down its top 15 albums of the year. Voted for by staff and presenters it's simply our favourite albums of 2014 and in second place is St Vincent's self-titled fourth studio album. Just earlier this month she was nominated in the Best Alternative Music Album category for the record, alongside Alt-J, Arcade Fire, Cage The Elephant and Jack White. The album received many four and five star reviews following its release in February. In the press she described it as “a party record you could play at a funeral” and off the back performed at several festivals this summer, her own tour dates and is currently on tour in the US supporting The Black Keys. Here Annie Clark discusses the LP, how she approached the performance of it, as well as how it feels to be in second place in our album countdown.
