My father past away in January 2012… a few days short of his 94th birthday. In the process of cleaning out his house, I came across a 5” thick folder of faded, old documents. The documents represent a chronological history of his service in the US Army from April 25, 1941 until March 31, 1946. Orders, receipts, and correspondence that provide a peek into the life of a 23 year old young man as he progressed from Private to Corporal, Lieutenant, Captain, and finally Major during World War II. #WWII #PearlHarbor #LetterHome #family #father #history #USA #ARMY #War
