Flock

Starling flock recorded at RSPB Ham Wall Nature Reserve, Somerset, leaving roost at dawn on 20 November 2011. Aside from the epic twittering, the low pitched sounds are the combined noise of hundreds of thousands of beating wings on an otherwise still morning. This is a mono recording done with a Sennheiser ME66 mic and Edirol R-09 digital recorder. It's not EQ'd, just presented as it happened.
