111202 Easter Road, Edinburgh

I walked home from the Parliament down part of Easter Road, which Pevsner coined as a "canyon of tenements" and there's little more to say, save that the tenement traditionally, on a main street or indeed street off of a main street, always has shops at the ground floor. There are easily ten derelict boarded shops on the lower stretch or the road, endemic of a wider problem, not just our current economic climate. Talking of climate, we only have weather, so this was a cold boo to do.
