Eamon McCann says people in Derry are reluctant to report RAAD to the police out of fear they themselves will be targetted

The most senior police officer in the north west has admitted his officers are struggling to secure convictions against the republican vigilante group RAAD. Chief Superintendent Stephen Martin says there have been just a couple of convictions so far in the PSNI's battle to stop so called punishment attacks. There has been a constant stream of shootings with many young men also being forced to flee their homes. But Stephen Martin has insisted the public have a vital role to play in helping the police.
