Brooking lauds Budweiser Club Futures scheme

Sir Trevor Brooking has heralded the launch of the Budweiser Club Futures programme. The FA Cup's official sponsor will award grants of £50,000 to 16 non-league clubs over the next two years, including super grants of £100,000 to the two clubs who submit the best business plan on how to become a central focus of their local communities. The FA's Director of Football Development also believes The FA Cup has risen in prestige in recent seasons, with the world's most famous club cup competition serving as a platform for both the top teams and lower league clubs.
