Amy Baker quit her safe but boring job to go travelling in South America. But she says she was met by unhelpful advice from people who thought they knew better. Most of it she ignored and Amy’s written about it in her book, Miss-Adventures: A Tale of Ignoring Life Advice While Backpacking Around South America. I spoke to Amy about her time in South America and particularly about her experiences in Ecuador, somewhere that few Britons go.
