Gillingham have appointed Steve Lovell as "permanent" manager after a successful spell as interim boss. He's been in temporary charge for seven games - following the departures of Head Coach Ady Pennock and Director of Football Peter Taylor. Chairman Paul Scally told our Sports Editor Matt Cole Lovell wasn't on his shortlist when Pennock and Taylor left, but recent results have changed his mind.
