Author of the Week: Carolyn Kirby, The Conviction of Cora Burns with Donna Freed

Carolyn Kirby's debut novel takes place in 1885 Birmingham, a time that hallmarks modern life as we know it. The prison where Cora was born still dominates the area and is in use today. A wide-ranging historical thriller that asks the question: where does violence come from?

This is Carolyn Kirby's first novel since graduating from the Faber Academy. The Conviction of Cora Burns is published March 21, 2019 from No Exit Press.
