BBC radio Medway took to the air from Chatham in 1970. In 1983, its area was broadened to serve Kent and the name changed in sympathy. Sadly, that meant the end of jingles like this. Quality.
I'm the technology correspondent at the BBC - and a man who likes to fiddle uncomprehendingly with new bits of tech, and then hurl them against the wall when they don't work
CEO TeenTech and Journalist who loves tech, music, books, movies, and individual trifles.
I'm made of radio, music, comedy, coffee and hugs. I present 'The Weekendery' on MintFM on a Thursday evening and occasionally can be found spouting nonsense on the British Tech network. Often a bit too warm.
Ephemeral sounds, mainly. Rain and streets and people chattering and stuff. I'm head of digital at BBC Radio 3 and chair of governors at Fair Field Junior School in Radlett.
