The political commentator and author Peter Hitchens says that government drug policy in the UK is flawed. In his new book ‘The War We Never Fought’, published by Continuum, he claims that a liberal elite which includes both Conservatives, Labour and Liberals has been unwilling to truly promote a legal war against drugs – especially cannabis. Tim Ecott talks to him at length about why he chose to write the book now.
