Today is the day when thousands of people across the country will be dressing in their pyjamas, sitting in baths of beans, shaving their heads, and generally doing all sorts of things to raise money for Children in Need.

The telethon has been going for 32 years, hosted by Terry Wogan and a host of other celebrities.. . .and if you watch BBC One tonight, do keep an eye out for 30 youngsters from Pearl Hyde Primary School in Walsgrave. They'll be performing 'Bridge Over Troubled Water' led by Aled Jones and with thousands of other children from across the country.

I went to one of their final rehearsals and to find out about a very special visitor they had. . . .
