It's being claimed that more than 400 thousand disabled people could lose out on higher-rate mobility payments because of an overhaul of benefits, which comes into force this year. The Government announced last month that the criteria would be changed so only those unable to walk more than 20 meters would qualify, rather than 50 meters. The proposals are due to come under scrutiny in the House of Lords this week, but campaigners say ministers should re-think replacing the current Disability Living Allowance #DLA altogether. #PIP Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson, Paralympic champion and disability campaigner spoke to #BBC Radio #York.....
