On February 1, Leicestershire Police, Leicester City Council and Leicestershire County Council will fly rainbow flags to mark the first day of Lesbian Gay Bisexual Trans (LGBT) History Month, the national event which celebrates the lives and achievements of LGBT people.

Leicestershire Police will fly the flag during the first week of LGBT History Month (February 1 to February 8) from the flagpole at the entrance of its Force Headquarters site at St Johns, Enderby; Leicestershire County Council will fly the flag at its County Hall headquarters in Glenfield, with Leicester City Council's flag flown from the Town Hall in Town Hall Square, Leicester.
