Irish Artists helps 'keep the flame alive' for hundreds of women murdered, tortured and 'disappeared' in Juarez, Mexico

Anne Daly interviews Irish artist Brian Maguire about his work in Juarez on the Mexican/US border where hundreds of women have been brutally tortured, murdered and 'disappeared' in a modern femicide without parallel. His work recently culminated in an exhibition called 'An Oasis of Horror in a Desert of Boredom' at the VISUAL in Carlow. On Sunday, Feb 24 a documentary film - Blood Rising - will be launched in Dublin's Savoy Cinema featuring Brian and his work in Mexico, as part of the Jameson Dublin International Film Festival.
