East Londonderry MP Gregory Campbell says police have thwarted multiple casualties after intercepted mortar bomb in the city

A security alert is continuing in Derry/Londonderry this morning following the discovery of four live mortar bombs in a van. Around a hundred homes have been evacuated in the Old Letterkenny Road area. Three men have been arrested and police say they're linking the find to dissident republican activity.
