Funding your Scottish renewables project

Scotland's renewable energy projects span everything from single community wind turbines to solutions for large housing associations.

Renewable energy is becoming increasingly accessible to all kinds of groups - including rural and urban communities, and there's a wealth of support available.

This podcast is about a new support fund called The Renewable Energy Investment Fund (REIF) and Ken Gordon interviewed Andrew Smith, Head of the Renewable Energy Investment Fund.

REIF helps finance renewable energy projects across Scotland and the REIF team can also advise on your funding proposition, and point you towards other sources of support.

With £103 million of ring-fenced funding available to provide commercially priced loans, equity investments and guarantees, REIF will consider projects that support the delivery of energy from a renewable source or represent an innovative renewable energy technology.
