Horrifying details of the slow death of a man after a botched lethal injection in America have led to renewed questions over the drugs used in executions there. Since the EU decided to ban the sale of some components of the cocktail previously used in US executions, the country’s been experimenting with new formulae, but it’s leading to what many consider the inhumane deaths of inmates.
