Avoid language which increases fear. The Equality Commission has given its assessment of the Pastor James McConnell controversy. They've called on people in positions of influence to avoid language or behaviour which would increase the fears of people under threat of attack because of their race or religion. This all comes after Pastor McConnell described Islam as "heathen" and "satanic" in a sermon at his church last Sunday. Pastor McConnell has told the Nolan Show he stands by his remarks. We hear from Michael Wardlow, Chief Commissioner of the Northern Ireland Equality Commission.
