Matatus – also known as public #transport vans and buses – are the main form of public transportation in #Kenya. When you think of Matatus, what comes to mind is loud music, conductors shouting and sometimes some wreckless driving. The #Matatu has become an integral part of modern life in Kenya, and one visual artist in Nairobi, Dennis Muraguri, is hosting an exhibition of photographs dedicated to the vehicle, including the distinctively flamboyant, and sometimes hazardous moves that matatu conductors are known for. Our reporter, Michael Kaloki, went to the exhibition to find out what it's all about.
