South Sudan military leaders sanctioned by EU

The #EU has announced travel bans and asset freezes on South Sudanese military leaders, who it says are obstructing the IGAD-led peace process. The two individuals responsible have been named as the rebel chief Peter Gadet (pictured) and army commander Santino Deng. The BBC’s former #Sudan correspondent, James Copnall, joined Focus on Africa’s Akwasi Sarpong in the studio. He began by explaining the accusations levelled at the two figures.
