Rhythmic bass man and bass player's bass player Paul Jackson took time to visit Chris Philips to talk about his incredible contribution, influences and teachings. In a wonderful revealing chat Paul shares experiences and reminisces on his time with Herbie Hancock, his new trio album on Whirlwind Recordings as well as an insight into what he's been doing in between.

Paul Jackson Trio are currently on tour and play a busy 2014 EFG London Jazz Festival opener at Hideaway in Streatham on Friday night 14th November with Paul on bass, British keyboard player and songwriter Xantoné Blacq and drummer Tony Match.
