Tell Out, My Soul, the Greatness of the Lord; sung today at my church

This is one of my favourite hymns. It was written by Timothy Dudley-Smith and set to the traditional Woodlands tune by Walter Greatorex. Hopefully my minister will never know I'm posting this; he might be embarrassed if he ever finds out. The poor man got really exuberant at the beginning of the hymn, which is easy enough to do given what a good'un it is, and sang out ahead of everyone else. :-) We don't sing this often, so I'm posting it anyway. :-) Alas, I had to record this with my smaller Olympus now that the mics on my LS-14 are playing up whenever there's a lot of loud noise. My DM20 records at a much lower bitrate, so even though I used a stereo mic, the words might be difficult to understand. I'll put them here in the description of this post in case you'd care to know what they are: 1 - Tell out, my soul, the greatness of the Lord! Unnumbered blessings give my spirit voice; tender to me the promise of his word; in God my Savior shall my heart rejoice.

2 - Tell out, my soul, the greatness of his Name! Make known his might, the deeds his arm has done; his mercy sure, from age to age to same; his holy Name--the Lord, the Mighty One.

3 - Tell out, my soul, the greatness of his might! Powers and dominions lay their glory by. Proud hearts and stubborn wills are put to flight, the hungry fed, the humble lifted high.

4 - Tell out, my soul, the glories of his word! Firm is his promise, and his mercy sure. Tell out, my soul, the greatness of the Lord to children's children and for evermore! #church #hymns #music
