A North East man has described how he ran for his life under a hail of bullets when gunmen stormed the Bataclan Theatre in Paris on Friday night.

Allan Mackenzie was in the city with a friend to see the Eagles of Death Metal along with hundreds of music fans when the violence erupted.

At least 89 people were killed as the gunmen made their way through the crowds, shooting indiscriminately.

The former Inverurie Academy pupil told original 106 how he spotted an opportunity and ran for the exit.
