CEPO expects government, SPLM in Opposition to nominate female ministers

CEPO yearns to see representation of four female ministers from the government, three from SPLM in Opposition’s side and other political parties.

CEPO Director Edmund Yakani also wants representation of at least 12 female MPs among the 50 SPLM in Opposition’s parliamentarians.

Yakani stressed the need to have female Ministers at all levels, including the Ministry of Justice, Defence, Finance and Information.

Women earlier complain that President Salva Kiir Mayardit cheated them in the appointment of the 28 States Governors, without any gender consideration.
