Before the new government takes over, the entire government needs to be audited, a senior Member of the Sudan Peoples’ Liberation Movement SPLM stresses.

Ambassador John Andruga Duku said there is need to know how 2015 budget was spent.

In some ministries, the budget is already exhausted, according to Adruga.

“Before the new government takeover, the entire government needs to be audited. We need to know how dowe spend the budget of 2015. In some ministries, now the budget is exhausted. They expedite cleaning up the budget of the government... and this, we need to audit it,” He said.

“Even if that person is not a minister, if he misused the budget, they must be brought to account for it.”

“The second point here is the president said that, they are going to constitute recovering of fund. This recovering of fund body must have the teeth and capacity to drag to court… if we start to dragging individual to court and then they answer and they are sentenced and the assets are seized… then we will win the confidence of the people of South Sudan,” Andruga told Radio Bakhita’s Wake up Juba. #SouthSudan #RadioBakhita Photo: Ambassador John Andruga Duku, in Juba, August 2015.
