Controversy over comments from Jim Wells. The DUP MLA has come in for criticism after saying to fellow MLA Ross Hussey at the start of a Stormont committee hearing: "I can't cope with women between eight and 80 ...". The remarks can be heard in a video from the Assembly's official website. Alliance MLA Stewart Dickson has submitted a formal complaint to the Assembly Commissioner for Standards.
