People of Hai Stadium and Duduma areas are living in ‘disgracing conditions’ in Yambio, says Mayor.

Daniel Badagbu says the people deserted the area and their properties were looted and houses burnt during the recent insecurity in Yambio.

Mayor Badagbu says that the people are lacking all basic services.

He encourages SPLA to stick to their constitutional mandate of protecting South Sudanese and the territorial integrity of the country.

“We wish if we could know before, we could not cast our vote for separation of South Sudan form Sudan because we are dying for nothing… what you are seeing today here[in Yambio], the places burnt down by the soldiers of South Sudan, SPLA. It was not burned by rebels,” says James Kpambioro, a resident of Yambio.

Yambio Mayor was deeply sorry for what SPLA forces committed against the citizens in his first visit to the area.
