Sugar tax – nanny state in action or much-needed measure.

The Cameron government has vowed to press ahead with the Sugar tax! The Queen's Speech has confirmed the controversial tax will go ahead in 2018 - despite protests it will hit the poor. Drinks such as Coca-Cola, Pepsi and Red Bull could cost around 20p more per litre in a bid to tackle fears over kids' obesity in UK schools.

In the Speech, the Government said the new legislation would encourage companies to reduce the amount of added sugar in drinks.
