A clip from our new BBC Radio 4 drama. In episode 2 Bakhtawara, played my Meera Syal, tells young Zarlakta that she's no longer able to work for Akbar Khan's family. But Zarlakta is falling in love with Akbar's son, Wisal. If she's old enough to fall in love, then she's too old to be working in someone else's house.
The series is adapted from a Pashtun soap opera made and broadcast in the Afghan-Pakistan border region by PACT Radio.
