Bodenham Flood Protection

Five years ago 40 houses in Bodenham were badly affected by the devastating floods which hit Herefordshire and Worcestershire.
Villagers there can now sleep easy at night despite the recent bad weather though as they've taken matters into their own hands and installed a state-of-the-art flood warning system. They also organise regular clean-up parties who make sure that the streams and culverts stay free of rubbish and debris.

BBC Hereford and Worcester's Nicola Goodwin went along for a first hand look at how it works. She got down and dirty in the brook with Tony and Babs Mitcheson and Tony Clark from the Bodenham Flood Protection Group and Rod Hawnt from Hydro-Logic Ltd in Bromyard
