Crystal Mining in the Salt Plains

The Great Salt Plains, located in north central Oklahoma, near the towns of Jet and Cherokee, is an 11,000-acre geological wonder where salt covers flat, packed earth, underneath which saline groundwater flows, constantly replenishing the salt supply. The site attracts scientists as well as tourists, like Cheryl Tiffany, who comb the land for selenite crystals. Holly Wall has the interview.
