Deborah Cleland works in science communication and fisheries conservation. Her PhD at the Fenner School of Environment and Society (ANU) asks if interactive games can help us manage human environmental systems better and more justly. Deb’s latest project had her playing computer-assisted board games with small-scale fishers and other interested bystanders in an attempt to understand and promote community support of marine conservation in coastal communities in the Philippines. Deb also co-convenes and blogs for the Human Ecology Forum at ANU. http://fennerschool.anu.edu.au/people/deborah-cleland
