In the hull of a car ferry
Recording from inside the hull of a car ferry from Elba to Piombino, Italy, arriving at our destination. It's a claustrophobic, dense soundscape in which the overwhelming drone of the ferry's engines is punctuated by a car alarm going off, and towards the end the ferry doors open, letting in the summer morning daylight and an escape to freedom.
