New Generation Thinkers is a partnership between the Arts and Humanities Research Council and BBC Radio 3.

Each year ten academics, who are at the start of their careers, are picked as part of a nationwide search for the brightest minds who have the potential to share their cutting edge ideas through broadcasting, helping to illuminate our lives and stimulate our curiosity.

This year’s ten are a great example of the broad range of subjects and insights that the arts and humanities give to our lives, helping us to understand the past, the present and the future.

They will be posting regular audio content here about their research and commenting on the big issues of the day. You can follow them on twitter via the hashtag #newgenerationthinkers
