Thirty 999 call-handlers off work with stress, depression, anxiety
Assistant Chief Constable John Hawkins took questions LIVE on Scotland's Talk In. On the nationwide programme he defended the project to centralise police control rooms, meaning the closure of local call centres. Eventually all emergency calls to the constabulary will be dealt with in Govan, Dundee, and Edinburgh - for the whole of Scotland.
