There she performs her sacred act of World-Stitching, binding fractures in matter and spirit with the living filament known as the Silver Thread, sometimes called the Nerve of God. Her calm is infinite, her patience absolute. She does not pursue, for the world inevitably comes to her; she waits, always, at the edge of completion.

Her art is a theology of symmetry — every imperfection a wound to be healed, every act of repair a prayer to restore the First Pattern. The Seamstress is neutral and inevitable, ruled not by morality but by the law of completion. Her creations include the Dress of Becoming and the Needle of Continuity, relics through which her will continues to spread. Her name was once Mirelle Anson, a tailor’s daughter in a town that has since slipped out of geography and into rumour. When her mother fell ill, Mirelle discovered that her own blood could mend cloth better than any dye or oil. The first time her needle pierced her fingertip, the thread shimmered silver and refused to break.

Her gift became her curse. Each garment she repaired took a fragment of memory, a pulse of warmth, a moment that would never return. Soon the townsfolk whispered that her creations never aged — nor did the dead who wore them. The boundary between fabric and flesh began to blur.

When her body failed, her hands did not. They kept moving long after her breath stopped, pulling threads through time itself. The shop became a space between worlds — where creation and decay are the same motion seen from opposite sides.

They say her workshop still appears in places where grief lingers too long. The candle never burns out, the thread never tangles, and the air tastes faintly of iron and jasmine.

Some find comfort.

That family carries a legacy not of pride, but of doom.

The offspring of the Tremoth line—the child that should never have been—waits within, a living curse that embodies everything vile and unnatural in their name.

• Origin & Era: Broadcast in 1944, Creeps by Night was a Columbia Network series, airing in the U.S. during the final years of WWII. It was designed to provide listeners with chills, often exploring the darker corners of human psychology rather than relying purely on supernatural scares.

• Style: Unlike monster-of-the-week shows, Creeps by Night specialized in psychological suspense. Ordinary people in familiar settings would find themselves unravelling, stalked by paranoia, guilt, or invisible forces. The series played with the idea that fear doesn’t need fangs — it only needs doubt.

• Legacy: Sadly, the show ran only a short time (March–August 1944) and only a handful of episodes survive today. Despite that, its mix of psychological tension and Karloff’s involvement makes it a cult favourite among OTR fans.

🎙️ Macabre (1961–1962)

• Origin & Era: Produced by the Far East Network of the U.S. Armed Forces Radio Service, Macabre was created by servicemen stationed in Tokyo. It aired from late 1961 to early 1962, with only 8 known episodes produced.

• Style: True to its name, Macabre was gothic, eerie, and often philosophical in its treatment of death, fate, and horror. Unlike many American OTR shows, which leaned into either pulp scares or family-safe chills, Macabre wasn’t afraid to be morbidly poetic. It explored themes of finality, inevitability, and human weakness.

• Legacy: With only a half-year lifespan, it might’ve been forgotten—but its rarity and haunting scripts have given it lasting recognition among OTR collectors and horror enthusiasts. It’s often referred to as a “hidden gem” of Old Time Radio horror.

And when the famine came, one priest starved himself for salvation.

Detectives Malary Left and Dogdin Right arrive too late for salvation. What they find is a chapel smeared with claw marks, a mill that breathes with stolen lungs, and a creature older than snow itself—a Wendigo, but not as legend tells it. This one does not just feed on flesh. It feeds on memory. On regret. On the grief you try to bury, but never really do.

🕯️ Creatures of the Below: The Wendigo (Bonehollow Variant)

Description:
The Bonehowler is tall, skeletal, antlered, its ribcage gnawed open from within. Where its heart should be is a knot of gnashing teeth, beating like a clock. Its body is frozen but alive, dripping snow instead of blood, its face always shifting into the visages of loved ones.

Behaviour:
It hunts grief, regret, and starvation. It speaks in the voices of the dead. It can wear the shape of guilt itself. The more you doubt yourself, the more it grows stronger. Survivors often die not from its claws, but from surrendering to its whispers.

Theme Symbolism:
The Bonehowler represents emptiness—not hunger of the stomach, but of the spirit. It is grief made flesh, faith hollowed into frost. It asks the question: what happens when you starve your soul until even silence has teeth?

And on the farthest edge of this forgotten town lies a building the people no longer claim. Its walls sag. Its windows are broken. And yet, within its decay, there is one thing untouched. One impossible place. A place children dare each other to see, but none stay long enough to truly find.

This is where our story begins....

What lies behind those walls isn’t just a ghost, or a monster, or even a curse—at least not in the way you might expect. No, what waits in Dagger Creek is stranger than that. It is something that feeds not on....on identity. It is silence given form. Order made into nightmare.

The Tile Room is not a tale of haunted houses or creaking staircases—it is the story of the ordinary breaking apart. Of a boy who stepped just a little too far into the cracks of his world and found that once you leave the familiar behind, there are rules. Rules you don’t get to choose. Rules you must follow, or be swallowed whole.

I won’t say what he found. That would be telling too much. But I will say this: every horror has a door. Sometimes it’s locked, sometimes it’s broken… and sometimes, it’s spotless. Too spotless.

When you hear the silence grow too heavy, remember—don’t listen to the grout.

🕯️ The Creatures of the Below

1. The Siphoned

• Description:
  Once-human survivors who lingered too long in the Below. Their bodies are stretched, joints broken and reset in unnatural angles. They crawl on all fours, their movements jerky, insect-like. Their eyes are black pits, their mouths slack with whispers of their old names.

• Behaviour:
  They hunt sound and movement. Their whispers mimic the voices of loved ones or familiar tones, trying to lure you closer.

• Theme Symbolism:
  The Siphoned represent identity loss—people consumed until they are only echoes of who they once were. They are the warning of what happens if you stay too long.

2. Watchers

• Description:
  Formless presences that live behind the walls and under the tiles. You rarely see them, but you feel them—heavy, dragging breaths, or a shift in the grout like something massive pressed against it. When they do appear, it is only as a distortion: tiles bulging, grout darkening, shadowy shapes pressing outwards.

• Behaviour:
  They stalk the survivors in cycles. They grow more aggressive the longer you stay in one section. If you linger, the Watchers will breach.

• Theme Symbolism:
  The Watchers embody paranoia and inevitability. They cannot be fought—only avoided. They are the silent enforcers of the Bellow's system.

3. The Cleaners

• Description:
  Tall, faceless beings in white, flowing robes or gowns. Their hands end in long, glassy claws shaped like squeegees. They glide rather than walk. They radiate sterility.

• Behaviour:
  They “clean” areas of blood, graffiti, or debris, erasing all evidence of life. When they encounter people, they treat them the same way: scrubbing until nothing remains.

• Theme Symbolism:
  The Cleaners embody the horror of sterility and erasure—the idea that perfect order means death. They are what happens when the ordinary obsession with cleanliness becomes predatory.

4. The Siphoned Reflections (The Doubles)

• Description:
  Your reflection—seen in a puddle, a shard of tile, or a fragment of mirror—stepping out of sync with you. At first, only small delays: a blink too slow, a tilt of the head when you didn’t move. Over time, the reflection develops its own intent.

• Behaviour:
  They appear when you are weakest, mimicking your movements until they no longer do. If they separate from you completely, they replace you.

• Theme Symbolism:
  The Reflections represent the fear of replacement and identity theft. Who are you, if your image continues walking when you stop?

5. The Grout (Environmental Creature)

• Description:
  Not a being, but a living fabric of the Below. The grout whispers—wet, papery, layered voices. It shifts, it bulges, sometimes revealing eyes staring out of cracks.

• Behaviour:
  The more you listen, the more it listens back. Some claim it feeds the Watchers with information. Others say it wears down your memories, syllable by syllable.

• Theme Symbolism:
  The Grout is omniscience and erosion. It represents the loss of privacy, the breakdown of self, the idea that even the walls are hungry for you.

6. The Breach Entity (Ambiguous)

• Description:
  Never fully seen. It manifests as cracks in the tile that show glimpses of another world—trees, sky, streetlights. But if you stare too long, the scene flickers, bends, and becomes impossible.

• Behaviour:
  It lures survivors to trade part of themselves—memory, reflection, voice—in exchange for escape.

• Theme Symbolism:
  The Breach embodies temptation and cost. It is hope twisted into bargaining, a reminder that every escape from horror requires sacrifice.

....Something has started waking at 3:00 a.m. in a small, unassuming town.

It’s not loud enough to wake everyone. Not yet. But if you’re the type to notice patterns… if you pay attention to the quiet… you’ll hear it too.

Three notes. Always the same. Always on time.

From there, the changes are subtle—at first. A strange mark in the dirt. A street that feels a little too still. People looking at you like they’re waiting for you to speak, even though you haven’t said a word. And under it all, a slow, inevitable pull toward something buried deep below the town.

The Town of Mouths is my newest long-form horror story— If you’ve been craving slow-burn dread, strange patterns, and body horror that will make your skin crawl, this is it!

The first is the holes.

Small at first, perfectly round, edges too clean for weather or tools. They never seem to fill with water, never echo, never catch the light. Drop something in—anything—and you won’t hear it hit bottom.

The second is the people.

Maybe it’s the way they pause too long in conversation, staring through you like they’re waiting for a cue. Maybe it’s the way their smiles don’t sit quite where they should, the lips pulling a little too far at the edges. Or the way they tilt their heads at the sound of the whistle, like they can hear something else layered beneath it.

And finally… there’s the pull.

No matter where you are, it draws you closer to the outskirts. Past the fences that aren’t fences anymore. Past the lines cut deep into the dirt, converging at a point no one talks about. You don’t have to know where it leads—you just know you’ll get there eventually.

If you hear the whistle tonight, don’t follow it. Not unless you want to know where it leads.
