This recording was created on 1st July 2019 when I attended an appointment with Dr Clive Aiton of Wensum Valley Medical Practice (WVMP) in Norfolk, England.

To the best of my recollection, I asked to record the conversation because of the convoluted and controversial nature of my relationship with WVMP, at the moment.

My conversation with Dr Aiton provides background to how the controversy has come about.

It also includes a reference to my intention to publish the conversation as part of Intelek International's patients rights and wider human rights advocacy.

There is no mention of gender, racial or religious prejudice, but I do believe that these may all have been factors in how the unfortunate impasse between myself and some WVMP and other people working in the NHS in England has come about.

On Wednesday 3rd July 2019 I attended Norwich Magistrates Court in response to a summons I had received from the court on behalf of Norwich City Council (NCC).

While at the Court I recorded a conversation I had with a NCC rep. Initially, he had expressed some reservations when I asked to record the conversation. However, when I assured him that he would remain anonymous he consented to the recording.

The interview begins with a clarification of why I had been summoned to the court. I thought it was mainly to do with a disputed housing benefit over-payment.

Instead I was told that that matter was not related to the summons I received at all. I was told that the summons was entirely about my non-payment of council tax to NCC.

I therefore then explained that I had stopped paying my council tax as a matter of principal, so that I could have my day in court.

A rather random, rambling, yet curiously coherent conversation with polymath Sid Rodrigues of Skeptics In the Pub, Conway Hall and assorted interests.

My main take-away from the conversation so far is Sid's former, possibly ongoing capacity for siloed, compartmentalized thinking.

Here's some background to Sid from the 'Improbable Research' website:

About Sid Rodrigues

Sid Rodrigues is the London-based organiser for the Ig Nobel Awards. He is the Time Out London Award-winning organiser of Skeptics in the Pub and a consultant/organiser for science outreach - and other colourful - events in London (and beyond) for the last five years. He's also part of the award-nominated podcast production team for Neil Denny's "Little Atoms" radio show on London's Resonance FM, and a contributor to the transatlantic Yuletide best-seller The Atheist's Guide to Christmas - which is still garnering international affection, hate-mail and internet trolls in differing proportions.

Sid has worked in applied research in the life-sciences and forensics for one of Europe's largest independent science providers for the last seven years. He's spent some of his previous life as a magician, musician, bar-tender and a collector of obscure novelty hits, but now spends time helping out the odd charity, researching obscure facts and other weirdness. He hopes that, someday, he'll be able to finish his undergraduate degree and call himself a "real scientist"... one day.
