Muster warning on the Woolwich Free Ferry in London
The ferry at Woolwich ran between north Woolwich and Warren lane on the south shore. There is an early written reference to it in the state papers of 1308, when the waterman conducting the ferry, William de Wicton, sold his business and a house, to William Atte, a mason, for £10.
