If you’re in a space where you feel like God is tearing down the life you thought you would have — this podcast is for you.

I’m your host, Gabby Thorne- walking through navigating purity & singleness, friendship shifts, and staying rooted instead of rushed by a timeline.

This show is about:
• redefining home
• navigating singleness and purpose
• rebuilding your life after loneliness
• finding community in your 20s and 30s

Why do you feel behind… even when you’re doing everything “right”?

“Who told us that this is what success is supposed to look like?”

“Am I in the career that the Lord wants me to be in?”

In this episode, I bring on a few special guests- Trent Pace, Kathryn Tucker, Ebenezer, & Paige Condrey. We’re breaking down the quiet pressure so many of us live in at our current age—the pressure to always be doing more, building faster, and becoming “successful.”

But what if the issue isn’t our discipline.. what if it’s our definition of success?

This conversation challenges the way we look at productivity, waiting seasons, and what it actually means to trust the Lord with our life- including our careers.

Because it’s possible to say we trust Him—and still live like everything depends on us.

If you’ve been:

Feeling behind in life

Questioning what’s next for your career

Not trusting the Lord’s will with your career and college timeline at your age

this episode will meet you there.

You’ll walk away rethinking what you’re chasing, why you’re chasing it, and whether it’s actually aligned with what the Lord is asking of you.

🎙️ Press play if you're ready to stop striving and start seeing your season differently.

👉 Follow/Subscribe so you don’t miss the next conversation.

GIVING YOUR SUPPORT

If you want to support this work and help it grow, here’s a way to help.

Venmo: @builtbythefather

https://www.venmo.com/u/builtbythefather

Whether it’s a one-time gift or monthly subscription, your support helps keep these conversations going.

<itunes:summary>Feeling behind doesn’t always mean you are.

In this episode, we unpack the pressure to succeed, the tension of waiting seasons, and the difference between chasing success and walking in obedience. If you’ve been struggling to trust God where you are, this conversation will challenge and ground you.</itunes:summary>

If you’ve ever wondered “Should I stop doing certain spiritual practices?” or felt unsure about where the line is between spirituality and following Jesus, this conversation is for you.

We talk honestly about what the Bible says about worshipping multiple gods, the practices believers may need to walk away from, and how God lovingly calls us out of confusion and into truth. Using Isaiah 1, we explore how God desires wholehearted devotion rather than divided worship.

Before fully surrendering my life to Christ, I explored practices like Spirit Science and new moon meditations while trying to understand spirituality and my purpose as a black woman.

But as I began reading Scripture and seeking the Lord, I realized that some things I was participating in did not align with the Bible- which is true and without error.

If you are navigating leaving New Age spirituality, questioning certain practices as a Christian, or learning how to build a life rooted in God’s truth, I hope this conversation helps guide you closer to Him.

When it comes to faith, there is no grey area — it is either of the Lord or it is not.\

f you would like to support this podcast, any gift is appreciated!
VENMO: @builtbythefather
https://www.venmo.com/u/builtbythefather
