Council protected children from 'strong views'

Rotherham social services are being accused by a couple of removing three foster children from their care because the council disapproved of their membership of UKIP. Strategic director of children and young people's services at Rotherham Council, Joyce Thacker, shares her view.

I am not aligned to any political party.However, It is utterly disgraceful that any political view needs to be considered in these cases, when a view is only a belief, and beliefs can (and do) change overnight. And as for the Social Services person to frequently keep saying "You know" and "At the end of the day" to preserve her right of authority is contemptible and reflects the lack of intellect or compassion in the profession she is in.
