I wrote a track last Sunday, incidentally the day my daughter went into hospital. I'd no idea it would turn out to be quite so popular, and spark so much interest. As I'd never composed anything quite like it before, and it includes a space for a solo instrument to have a claim to fame, I thought that on Monday, I'd put out a -1 version of the track. For non-musicians, a -1 version is the same piece, without the solo instrument. An instrumental's instrumental if you will. The upshot of which, is that I put out a challenge to other musicians to take their instrument of choice and solo on my track in whatever way they wished. I also post this challenge here on Audioboo, and if you want to download the piece and repost here, or elsewhere with a link to me in some way so I can hear it, that would be simply wonderful.
