Commander R. Rochhi on 03/18/2013 shooting in Wilmore City area of Long Beach, CA

This is Commander Richard Rochhi speaking at the Wilmore City neighborhood meeting on 03/19/2013 at Drake Park in Long Beach, California. He is the Commander of the South Division of the Long Beach Police Department. The Wilmore City neighborhood meeting takes place at 7:00pm on the third Tuesday of every month. Usually there are ten or twelve people. At the 03/19/2013 meeting it was standing room only because of the shooting that took place the day before.

There was an officer involved shooting on 03/18/2013 between 6:00pm and 6:30pm. A suspect fleeing an officer on foot shot at the officer. A house to house man hunt for the suspect took place. The hunt included a helicopter which flew above the area until 2:00am on 03/19/2013.
