All About the Music Competition Finals
We caught up with Twin Bears yesterday to interview them about their recent selection as a finalist in the Eufest sponsored competition, All About the Music:
Some words from the band:
We formed January 2012 and have been gigging since March 2012. Last year saw sell out Sheffield's O2 Academy 2, we had one of our songs played on SOCCER AM, Q Music Radio, Amazing Radio and many BBC Radio stations. We take loads of influence from the "bigger" sounding bands, such as TRIBES, Maccabees and older bands such as Rolling Stones and The Jam. We are a straight up rock and roll band, we feel we have a big sounding rock and roll vibe - almost festival esq sound, which we believe is perfect for us.
Mike (vox) Matt (drummer) are brothers and myself (Jamie guitar/vox) and Jack (bass/vox) are friends of both Mike and Matt. We all just got together threw friendships and the love of the same music. We have released 3 EPs since forming and recently 6th April supported TRIBES at Plug in Sheffield. We have worked with the producer from Arctic Monkeys first album on our most recent demo and are due to again at the start of May when we have a 3 track promo CD coming out. We take our band very seriously and are trying our best to produce something different, somethign we really love.
All our music is available totally free at:
we have gained some excellent press which is all featured on our Facebook - along with some extra info.
