We hope for better things; it shall rise from the ashes -- the motto of one of #America's most troubled cities, the home of mass manufacturing and #Motown, #Detroit. The city is in an administrative limbo, run by a state-appointed Emergency Manager, saddled with billions of dollars of debts it can't pay, and burdened by pension and healthcare liabilities it can't maintain. For years the city has been a byword for mismanagement. But something is stirring in Detroit. The talk is of new businesses and a revitalized downtown, of a kind of urban chic attaching to the place.
