Palestinian boy, 12, just another target

An Israeli soldier shot and seriously injured a young Palestinian boy in Jalazoun refugee camp near Ramallah on 21 May 2013 as he attempted to retrieve his school bag.The bullet struck Atta Sabah, 12, in the stomach and exited through his back, severing his spinal cord and causing paralysis from the waist down. It also caused damage to his liver, lungs, pancreas and spleen. DCI-Palestine recently spoke with Atta and his mother, Itimad, at the Reuth Rehabilitation Hospital in Tel Aviv where Atta is recovering from his injuries.
