Islamic extremism in France

Jihadist groups have been increasingly prominent in the Syrian uprising in recent months. Many are veterans of other conflicts in the region -- but there are also said to be a large number of European converts fighting among their ranks. The father of two French Islamic converts has given an exclusive interview to the BBC in which he says his sons were brainwashed into becoming Jihadists.

There is growing concern in #France that the fallout from the Arab Spring is motivating a new generation of radical Muslims. The government is threatening to jail anyone who goes to fight.
