"What I'm wearing is part of my religion"
There is to be a review into whether NHS staff in England should be allowed to wear full face veils: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-24158041
It follows an investigation by the Daily Telegraph which showed 17 hospitals had banned them.
In some environments, the veil is a requirement - for example, a number of Islamic schools insist on female pupils wearing them when they're outside.
But what about those who choose to wear it?
BBC Radio 4's The World at One spoke to a 14-year-old girl who has worn one since she was 12.
She told reporter Sima Kotecha about a recent occasion when her veil was pulled off by a man on a street.
